Propane-gasoline conversion systems experts Alliance Autopropane and Maxquip establish Canada-wide partnership

Montreal, June 22, 2016 – Rock Boulianne and Marquis Grégoire Jr., co-presidents of Alliance Autopropane Inc., are pleased to announce that they have signed a long-term agreement with Canadian company Maxquip. This agreement will make Maxquip an integral distributor of conversion equipment to Alliance Autopropane’s growing network.
“With this partnership, we want to work together to promote conversion to hybrid propane/gasoline systems on a national scale. Our parts will benefit from Maxquip’s excellent distribution network, and we can offer consumers accessible and affordable systems,” explained Mr. Boulianne.
“We are pleased to enter into an agreement with a professional and highly respected distributor in the propane industry. On our end, we have acquired significant expertise in vehicle conversion and are happy to make it available to residents of other provinces, who can enjoy substantial fuel cost savings from using propane vehicles,” added Mr. Grégoire.
The agreement will also have a number of benefits for the environment. In fact, converting a gasoline-burning vehicle to hybrid propane/gasoline reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 25%. As well, Quebec’s 2030 Energy Policy, which was announced on April 7, 2016, contains a measure that aims to encourage conversion of transportation vehicles already on the roads to fuels with lower carbon content, namely propane.
“We are very respectful of the energy and professionalism that the Alliance Autopropane team have demonstrated in growing the Autopropane business in a sustainable manner. With this partnership, our companies will leverage our mutual strengths in delivering autopropane conversion systems that are reliable and cost effective to the industry across Canada” states Cameron Stewart of Maxquip.
About us: Maxquip was founded in 2002 and has been active as a supplier of Alternative Fuel equipment for the past 10 years. We are a team of dedicated people focused on providing solutions for our customers from our Seven strategically located distribution centres across Canada. We service everything that we sell. Nothing goes out our doors that we don’t know how to service or maintain. Maxquip wants to create a niche for itself as a value-added global supplier of Alternative Fuel equipment and a partner of choice for its clients, shareholders and suppliers. Alliance Autopropane, which was founded in 2013 in Quebec and is a member of the Alliance AutoGas Network (a leader in its category in the United States), operates a network of retail sales and distribution of propane for automobiles. The company also converts gasoline-burning vehicles to hybrid propane/gasoline through its partner centres. The agreement will accelerate the deployment of its network of self-service stations, with 19 stations already operating in Quebec; this number is expected to increase to a total of 30 stations between now and next year. Always true to its motto, “Go Far, Pay Less,” Alliance Autopropane’s mission is to encourage the use of propane as an automobile fuel and to make its banner number 1 for autopropane in Canada.

In November 2015, advocates for cleaner automotive engines were given one more reason to celebrate when Rock Boulianne and Marquis Grégoire jr, co-presidents of Alliance Autopropane, concluded a long-term agreement with Poland-based Digitronic Autogas Equipment to become the exclusive North American distributor of Digitronic’s groundbreaking kits to convert gasoline vehicles to hybrid propane engines.
The kits are particularly well suited to the harsh Canadian winter, having previously been tested under extreme conditions in Russia. “We conducted our own extensive trials in Charlevoix, combining the results of the kit’s performance in the Russian cold with the driving stress of the hills and steep roads of this beautiful Quebec region,” remarked Rock Boulianne. “The tests established first and foremost the tremendous reliability of the systems, but also the capacity of the kits to sustain propulsion and power under the most demanding winter conditions, which is a rare feat in the field of hybrid propane engines.”
The conversion kits, which Alliance Autopropane will launch in Quebec in January 2016 under the brand name Propalia, are a solid technology that embodies the know-how accumulated by Digitronic in its 20-year existence. With more than 100,000 units sold every year in over 30 countries, the Propalia conversion kit delivers the best performing propane control and management unit in the industry, in climates with temperatures ranging from -40 °C to 110 °C.
Propalia autogas kits are designed to facilitate both the installation of the elements of the gas system and the operation of the vehicle. They incorporate cutting-edge software to insure accuracy and minimize human error, and are chosen individually depending on the technical parameters of each vehicle. Currently, over 25% of the vehicles fitted with Digitronic autogas systems are heavy 4x4s, while 75% are 4, 6, and 8-cylinder engines, including turbo.
“The mission of Alliance Autopropane is to make it as easy as possible for individual car owners and commercial fleets to convert to cleaner, more affordable hybrid engines,” added Marquis Grégoire jr. “ The Propalia conversion kits definitely allow propane hybrids to conquer the Canadian winter, while sustaining the performance levels of even the most powerful and heaviest of vehicles.”
Quebec’s Alliance AutoPropane is eastern Canada’s fastest growing network of certified propane/gasoline engine conversion centers, premier equipment providers, and autogas fuel providers, with 18 stations at the present time, and expecting to have over 30 in total in 2016.

Suzanne Roy Ford inc. joins Alliance AutoPropane
Canada’s fastest growing autogas network

Quebec (Quebec) December 7, 2015 – Suzanne Roy Ford Inc. is breaking ground by becoming the first car dealership in Quebec to partner with Alliance AutoPropane (AAP) to convert vehicles to cleaner and more cost efficient hybrid propane-gasoline engines. The pioneering partnership could have a significant influence on the services offered by the Quebec car retail industry and on its environmental impact. Since its humble beginnings, Suzanne Roy Ford Inc. has grown into the region’s largest Ford dealership, while Alliance AutoPropane is eastern Canada’s fastest growing network of autopropane refueling stations and conversion centers.

“By becoming an AAP member and an authorized conversion center, our dealership is in a strong position to encourage Ford customers, individual owners, and commercial fleets to convert their vehicles immediately to hybrid engines,” stated Mme. Suzanne Roy, the dealership’s founder and president. “Personally, it feels wonderful to know that, as car retail professionals, we can find innovative ways to contribute to a greener tomorrow.”

Over 30 years ago in Levis, Quebec, Mme. Roy took a truck full of courage and knocked on the door of Ford Motors to ask for a dealership license. After months of perseverance and refusals, she obtained a hesitant “yes” from the legendary automaker. With a $400,000 personal loan and a one million dollar inventory, she became the first woman in Canada to own a Ford dealership.

In her mid-80s today, Mme. Roy’s body might have aged a little, but, as evidenced by the dynamic AAP partnership, her entrepreneurial spirit is not aware of it. The groundbreaking association comes as no surprise to her friends and associates. “We hope that our commitment to convert as many cars as possible to cleaner engines will motivate others in our business to join Alliance AutoPropane and make a difference today,” concluded Mme. Roy.

Alliance Autopropane, a member of Alliance AutoGas, North America’s largest autopropane network with over 100 affiliated companies, has enabled thousands of vehicle owners and numerous large commercial fleets to make an easy and affordable transition to propane autogas. AAP’s conversion quality standards are the highest in the industry, resulting not only in cleaner engines but also in substantial savings. With an average cost of $6,000 per vehicle, a conversion can often be amortized through fuel savings in 12 to 18 months, depending on personal gasoline consumption.

Alliance AutoPropane
opens a new 24/7 station in Châteauguay

On August 31, Alliance AutoPropane officially opened a propane fueling station in the city of Châteauguay increasing its number of supply points in Quebec to sixteen. The inauguration took place in the presence of Mme. Nathalie Simon, mayor of Châteauguay; Mr. Stéphane Billette, whip-en-chef of the government of Quebec; and Mr. Philippe Mercier, political attaché of the Chateauguay MP. Their attendance marks yet another milestone in the efforts to diminish the use of gasoline on Quebec’s roads

The use of propane gas as a fuel continues to grow at a rapid rate. There are currently over 24 millions vehicles worldwide running on autogas and propane has become the third most widely used fuel behind gasoline and diesel. Thanks to Alliance AutoPropane, Quebec private car owners and corporate vehicle fleets have been converting for years to cleaner hybrid gasoline/propane engines, and reducing substantially greenhouse gases and other harmful emissions.

In addition to contributing to a cleaner environment, Alliance AutoPropane members enjoy dramatic reductions of their fuel bills. With a price difference between propane and gasoline of more than 65 cents per liter in recent years, autogas consistently yields average savings in the range of 40%. And because propane has a cleaner burn than gasoline and a higher octane rating, users also benefit from lower engine maintenance costs.

Alliance AutoPropane is Canada’s fastest growing network of certified propane / gasoline engine conversion centers, equipment providers, and autogas fuelling stations. The organization, a member of Alliance AutoGas, North America’s largest autopropane network with over 100 affiliated companies, has been leading the way by enabling a growing number of vehicle owners to convert immediately to propane autogas.

Alliance AutoPropane’s quality standards to transform conventional engines into propane hybrids are the highest in the industry. With an average cost of $6,000 per vehicle, the conversion can often be amortized through fuel savings in 12 to 18 months, depending on personal gasoline consumption.

Alliance AutoPropane-
Discover the Present and Future of Propane Fuel in Quebec

MONTREAL, QUEBEC–(Marketwired – Jan. 7, 2015) – Alongside the 2015 Montreal International Auto Show, Alliance AutoPropane is pleased to invite media and selected guests to a launch cocktail and exclusive inside look at the growing use of propane as an automobile fuel and at its future as a reliable, economically advantageous, and cleaner alternative to gasoline.

Alliance AutoPropane is a member of Alliance AutoGas, the leading network of propane suppliers in the U.S. and the largest of its kind in North America, with established partnerships with over 100 companies. The organization is dedicated to the retail sale of propane gas for automotive vehicles and to the conversion of conventional engines into hybrid propane/gasoline powered units. It is Eastern Canada’s number-one advocate of propane as a proven gasoline replacement for reasons of cost, safety, and environmental impact.

Alliance AutoPropane members are presently enjoying dramatic reductions of their fuel bills. With a price difference between propane and gasoline of more than 65 cents per liter in recent years, the low cost of autogas consistently yields average fuel cost savings of 40%. Additionally, because propane has a cleaner burn than gasoline and a higher octane rating, users benefit from lower engine maintenance costs.

Propane is now one of the safest fuels on the market, regardless of category. New users are often surprised to learn that it is significantly less explosive than gasoline, due to its much higher combustion point. Autogas tanks not only meet Transport Canada standards, but also are 20 times more impact resistant than gasoline tanks. Furthermore, the cutting-edge pressure regulators and safety valves of modern propane supply systems virtually eliminate the possibility of excessive pressure and leaks.

Propane’s clean burn produces much less pollution and greenhouse emissions by as much as 25% than gasoline or diesel, diminishing the release of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide and smug-causing hydrocarbons. In addition to the greener qualities of the gas itself, the production and distribution of propane has a much smaller ecological footprint than the manufacturing and transportation of gasoline.

As a testament to propane’s reliability and clean track record, there are no restrictions on the use of propane-powered vehicles on Quebec’s public roads.

To facilitate the transition of gasoline vehicles to propane, Alliance AutoPropane has established Quebec’s largest and most advanced network of certified conversion centers. The organization’s quality standards to transform conventional engines into propane hybrids are the highest in the industry, with an average cost of $6,000 per vehicle, which can often be amortized through fuel savings in 12 to 18 months, depending on personal gasoline consumption.

During the cocktail, Alliance AutoPropane will present its Quebec, Ontario and American partners while revealing its list of certified conversion centers and propane suppliers. Discover how the organization continues to assist its clients and partners to live up to its three principal commitments:

Go far. Pay less. – Go far. Pollute less. – Go far. Most safely.
